Character: Iris Dupont

Appearance:
Iris’ hair falls to her waist in a gentle wave, smooth blonde bangs arching slightly over her right eye. It’s often pulled back into a loose tail with white or violet ribbon. Her deep violet eyes are soft and often have a distant, dreamy look to them until you catch her attention. She has a lean build, almost willowy and clearly defined by the tailored dresses she wears. Between long skirts and a height of 5′6, she usually doesn’t wear heels more than an inch or two tall. She favors gold jewelry in simple necklaces and a variety of earrings, usually dangles.
Personality:
Iris is a gentle soul, outwardly demure with a mischievous streak that pops up around those she’s comfortable with. Slow to anger and mindful of her words, she is almost always composed, willing to pause to process things rather than speak rashly. She has a maternal streak, always looking out for others - especially her younger brother, Mistel. Her first love was the written word, which she is easily absorbed in for the bulk of the day, though she does at times daydream about the possibility of starring in her own love story.

Iris grew up in a small town with her brother Mistel, leaving for a time to go to college for a bachelor’s in English. While living in a bigger city, she tried her hand at various freelance jobs, and even spent some time working on a local paper. But her heart has always been in writing love stories, and when Mistel found a good place to set up shop in Oak Tree Town, she was quick to follow.
As it turns out, the quieter way of life has been excellent for her writing, giving her peace and calmness that allows her to concentrate on her novels.

Iris was a bright child, active in a variety of extracurricular activities such as the writer’s club, drama club, and choir. An only child until her teens, she immediately took to being a big sister to Mistel and was very protective of him - something she never grew out of, much to his exasperation.
She spent some time in college working on a local paper, but couldn’t help but be drawn back time and again to her love of fiction. When she and Mistel moved to Oak Tree Town, she was quickly absorbed back into her writing, sweeping romances and more tragic love stories.
