Appearance:
Neil is six feet of lean muscle from long hours working on his family’s farm, not that you’d be able to tell from the clothes he wears. Loose camo pants are tucked into calf-high, thick leather boots, the same black-and-silver-buckle as the accents on his coat. The coat itself comes to mid thigh, a stunning berry-red that brings out his deeper wine-red eyes. The contrast is sharp with his hair, vivid blond and cut into artful spikes. He usually throws on a dark tee shirt or tank underneath the coat - something that he can strip down to in hotter weather.
Personality:
Neil can come off as a bit of a grouch, but he’s not really a pessimist so much as he’s a very socially awkward introvert who doesn’t really know how to people. His instinct is to push people away with his curt manner, but in truth he craves quiet companionship and is secretly a softie.
Backstory:
Neil grew up on a large farm with a large family just east of Echo Valley, and though he had little to no interest in growing anything he’d always been taken with the animals. He bartered with his siblings to make sure he always had chores with the livestock or poultry. Even when he decided to move out on his own, he knew he still wanted to deal in animals.
He ended up moving to Echo Valley even though the town was in decline, hearing rumors that there was a farmer trying to revitalize things. Despite his grumping about preferring small towns, as the town continues to grow he finds himself becominggrudgingly somewhat more social. His current aspirations amount to selling animals from his family’s farm and running an animal sanctuary in the wide pasture on his family’s land, which has more space than a lot of the local farmland.
