Character: Mamoru Chiba/Endymion

Appearance:
Mamoru stands at 5′9, with black hair that has a slight bluish tint to it and dark blue eyes. While he does occasionally dress more casually, he’s usually seen in a variation of a button up and slacks, casually formal. As Tuxedo Mask, he wears a trademark black tuxedo, a red lined black cape, a top hat and white domino mask. As Prince Endymion, he wears a similar cape over black and silver armor, and carries a sword on his left hip.
Personality:
Mamoru is a very reserved individual, introverted and studious, but a fiercely loyal friend once you get past his walls. He’s very intelligent, with a generally dry wit, and a strong sense of duty and responsibility.
Backstory:
During the Silver Millennium, Prince Endymion was the sole heir to the Earth Kingdom. Surrounded by his guardian Shitennou, the Four Heavenly Kings - Kunzite, Nephrite, Zoicite and Jadeite - Endymion was trained up to be an expert swordsman and a charming politician, despite his distaste for it. It was only once he met the Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom that he suddenly had no problem at all putting his attention towards securing an alliance.
Despite the tensions between the kingdoms and the efforts of both Kunzite and Venus, Endymion and Serenity became lovers. Unbeknownst to him, the sorceress Beryl had also fallen in love with him, and her jealous fury made her vulnerable to possession by Queen Metaria, who used her to start a war against the Moon Kingdom. She was able to brainwash the Shitennou into serving alongside her in the war, leading a revolt of the people of Earth against the moon.
Endymion tried his hardest to stop the revolt. When that failed, he rushed to his lover’s side to warn her, only to be struck down by Beryl. Shortly after, Princess Serenity committed suicide in despair.
While Queen Serenity was able to seal Metaria away with the Silver Crystal, she used her dying energy to send the spirits of the two lovers and their court down to Earth to be reincarnated. Endymion was reborn as Mamoru Chiba.
Mamoru lost both of his parents in a car accident as a young child, and lost most of his memories of those early years. Strangely, he began to regain memories of his past life, leading to confusion about his identity that would plague him well into his late teens when his dreams clarified enough for him to know he was trying to find the Silver Crystal for Princess Serenity.
Working alongside the Senshi as Tuxedo Mask was originally an arrangement of convenience until the fateful day he gave his life for Sailor Moon and was awakened by the power of the Silver Crystal. Reunited with the reincarnation of his past lover, he would spend the next several years fighting by her side and doing his best to protect her as both Tuxedo Mask and Endymion.
After the dust has settled with the final fights and they’ve both finished school, Mamoru returns to Tokyo to marry his love. He works as a doctor up until the beginning of Crystal Tokyo, at which point he takes his place as King Endymion.

During the Silver Millennium, Earth was under the rule of a single king and queen, and their only son and heir was Prince Endymion. Trained extensively in the politics of the time, he still found himself smitten with the Moon’s princess, Serenity, despite tensions between the kingdoms. Maybe he knew better, but the heart was a powerful thing and he couldn’t resist following it to her.
When war broke out at Beryl’s prodding, he rushed to his beloved’s side, only to die in his efforts to save her.
V: Tuxedo Mask (main canon era)
Reborn on Earth as Mamoru Chiba, the former Prince’s life was anything but easy. He lost both of his parents in a car accident when he was very young and lost most of his memories of those early years. Oddly, he began to regain parts of his memories of life as Endymion, leading to him seeking out the Silver Crystal and Princess Serenity in hopes of getting his memories restored.
